Building the Digital Backbone for Raydia Food Group’s Future Growth
Business Situation
Raydia Food Group, a newly formed parent company of Stanz and Troyer Foods, brings more than 175 years of foodservice distribution expertise under one brand. Based in Indiana, Raydia serves a wide range of customers including restaurants, butcher shops, convenience stores, school nutrition programs, government facilities, and supermarkets.
The company’s rapid expansion through acquisitions has grown its workforce to 500 employees. While this success created significant opportunity, it also surfaced challenges such as fragmented IT systems, inconsistent support processes, and an urgent need for modernized infrastructure that would support both day-to-day operations and the company’s ambitious growth trajectory.
Raydia needed a trusted partner to stabilize operations, unify technology platforms, and lay the foundation for future upgrades. NRI met this need by delivering a fully managed IT services program, modernizing infrastructure, improving security, and creating a scalable technology framework to support the company’s long-term growth.
Considerations
Setting the Steps in Motion
Transition to Managed Services
NRI replaced Raydia’s fragmented IT support structure with a comprehensive managed services program. This included full help desk operations, endpoint management, and security patching to ensure consistent performance across the organization. The NRI team implemented proactive monitoring and modern data center management practices, which reduced the risk of downtime and improved the reliability of critical systems.
Network and Endpoint Modernization
NRI standardized device provisioning and configuration for all locations, creating a consistent and secure technology environment. Regular patch cycles were established to keep systems updated and protected from vulnerabilities. This modernization effort increased operational efficiency, reduced support calls, and improved the overall security posture of Raydia’s IT infrastructure.
Microsoft 365 Optimization
To improve collaboration and productivity, NRI optimized Raydia’s Microsoft 365 environment. This included fine-tuning Teams, SharePoint, and other productivity applications to support streamlined communication and efficient workflows. Employees gained better access to shared resources and information, enabling them to work more effectively regardless of location.
Security and Compliance Alignment
Recognizing the importance of safeguarding sensitive business data, NRI worked with Raydia to strengthen its security framework. These enhancements were designed to align with industry best practices and prepare the organization for SOC integration. This proactive approach also ensured readiness to meet evolving compliance requirements, reducing the risk of regulatory issues in the future.
